David Gardner joined Easterseals Joliet Region in February 2007 and serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). His primary areas of responsibility include Finance, Information Technology and Facilities Planning and Operations.
He is responsible for accounting, budgeting, grants administration, investments, debt compliance and facilities management, which includes building acquisition and construction projects.
In a shared services venture with Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley, David serves as a contractual CFO since October 2011. His primary focus is on financial reporting and analysis, cash flow management, budgeting and investments.
Prior to joining Easterseals, he held several senior management positions at nonprofit organizations. He served for 7 years as the Associate Director for Sertoma Centre where he oversaw the finance, human resources, facilities management, transportation and information technology departments. David also served as the Director of Finance for
Cornerstone Services for 7 years where he oversaw finance and information technology departments.
David is very committed to the nonprofit sector with more than 24 years of experience across four nonprofits. He received his BS from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, and he is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Currently, he is an active member in the Kiwanis Club of Joliet where he served in various roles including President, Treasurer and Fundraising Chairman for over 6 years.
In his spare time David enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and biking.
