Micaela (Kayla) Hastings, M.S., CCC-SLP

Kayla earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Xavier University and her MS degree from Elmhurst University. With over 10 years of experience, Kayla has worked across various settings including schools, outpatient, early intervention, adjunct university, and inpatient acute care at a Chicagoland pediatric hospital. She has received significant continuing education and experience in the area of pediatric feeding including becoming a trained Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) therapist, and SOFFI (Supporting Oral Feeding in Fragile Infants) certified therapist. She has taken extensive course work in the areas of tracheostomy tubes, mechanical ventilation, and speaking valves. Kayla is an evaluator on ESDFVR Feeding Clinic, and Assistive Technology Clinic. She holds a credential as a State of Illinois Early Intervention Provider and Initial Evaluator.
