Vickie is committed to supporting children and their families as a Developmental Therapist with an Infant Early Childhood Mental Health Certificate, DIR® Level 1 training, FAN training and as a Certified Child Life Specialist. She is proud to serve at Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley, where she supports children, families, and fellow professionals through direct therapy, medical diagnostic evaluations, training on inclusion and adaptation, and specialized consultation in her areas of expertise.
Passionate about her work, Vickie finds joy in empowering families, fostering understanding, and helping children thrive in all areas of development. Vickie engages children, especially those birth to age three in Early Intervention, through play-based therapy, developing their cognitive, language and communication, social-emotional, behavior, gross and find motor and self-help skills. She values inclusion, honors each child’s full story, and continuously reflects on her own practice to better support others. She believes that parents are the best advocate for their children and appreciates that family-centered, relationship-based services help families gain confidence and success.
In addition to providing ongoing developmental therapy services and initial evaluations in the home, Vickie offers support to the inclusive childcare center at Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley, serves as a board member for the YWCA's Early Head Start program, and is an active volunteer in her church community. In her spare time, Vickie enjoys going on adventures with her husband and two daughters.
