Summary:
Supports therapy care delivery by preparing treatment area and equipment and materials.
Job location: Lifetime Fitness 601 Burr Ridge Pkwy, Burr Ridge, IL 60527
Starting pay: $15/hour
Basic Responsibilities:
An Aquatic Therapy aide will help:
· Assist in the pool and follow 1-2 step directions from therapists.
· Put on/take off flotation devices/ankle weights.
· Demonstrate good safety awareness in and out of the pool.
· Set-up therapy activities before sessions and help clean-up materials.
Qualifications:
· Must be able to walk forward/backward/sidestep in water up to 4 feet deep.
· Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. using good body mechanics.
· Can tolerate being in the water for up to 4 hours; water is chlorinated and has a temperature of 87-89°.
· Have a positive and encouraging personality, patient and responsible.
Aquatic therapy locations include: Burr Ridge, Bloomingdale and/or Warrenville.
