A Powerful Story of Progress

When Brinley was only two days old, doctors discovered that her brain had not formed fully or correctly. Her parents wondered, would she walk? Would she talk? They turned to Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley for answers.

Every milestone that Brinley has achieved is thanks to an Easterseals therapists.

"Emily taught Brinley to tie her shoes. Celine taught Brinley to walk. Connie taught Brinley to speak. Josephine taught her to ride a bike,” said Tiffany Olson.

Easterseals focuses on building independence through a comprehensive, family-centered approach. In Brinley’s case, that meant not only supporting her growth, but also empowering her parents and siblings with the tools and confidence to be active partners in her care. This collaborative support system has helped Brinley continue to grow, gain independence, and build confidence in her abilities.

Today, Brinley continues to thrive, and her family remains closely connected to the Easterseals community. They give back by participating in the annual Run for the Kids: Superhero Hustle, helping ensure that other families have access to the same life-changing care and support.

Addy & Lily

At our Gala three years ago, we introduced Addy and Lily – twin sisters, who were born conjoined at the chest and spent nearly 11 months in the hospital before undergoing the surgery that would successfully separate them.

We also honored a team of Easterseals therapists who supported Addy and Lily’s earliest achievements and are still a part of their milestones.
