Early detection and early intervention are the best way to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other developmental disabilities gain greater independence.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability. Children with ASD may have difficulty with social communication/interaction and exhibit restrictive and/or repetitive patterns of behavior. Easterseals offers many services for children with ASD.

Assistive Technology (AT) at Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley improves the functional capabilities of children with disabilities through the implementation of strategies, technologies, and products. For example, AT can assist children who need help expressing their thoughts, needs, wants, and ideas. By making it easier for the child to communicate, it can reduce frustrations for the child and his or her family.

Growing Family Relationships with DIRFloortime Therapy for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

At Lily Garden Child Care Center, we understand that children learn best when provided with experiences in an environment that is positive, nurturing and developmentally appropriate.

Do you know a child or family who is struggling? Perhaps she demonstrates low self-esteem or lacks confidence? Maybe he has difficulty managing change or daily stressors? She may be experiencing anxiety or panic attacks. They may be acting out behaviorally by testing limits.

Excellent nutrition is one of the most basic requirements for a child to grow and thrive. Research shows that as many as 90% of children with a developmental disorder have at least one nutrition risk indicator.

The primary occupation of childhood is to grow, learn and play - allowing the child to live life to their fullest potential. Occupational Therapy (OT) focuses on developing motor skills, sensory-processing abilities, coordination, peer interaction, play and self-care skills to participate in daily life activities. We offer a comprehensive occupational therapy evaluation and customized treatment plans.

Whether your child recently did not pass a hearing screening or has a risk factor for possible hearing problems, our audiologists will work closely with your child, family and medical professionals to evaluate your child’s hearing and/or to monitor his/her middle ear function over time. Early diagnosis of hearing loss is critical for ensuring optimum speech and language development.

In physical therapy (or PT), we work to enhance and restore mobility, functional competency and independence for individuals with neurological, developmental or orthopedic delays and/or disabilities.

These clinics provide specific and individual care to best suit your child's needs outside of their normal therapy schedule.

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) at Easterseals strengthens children's communication and feeding skills so they can participate fully in daily activities and achieve success.

Focused therapy programs allow children to address their therapeutic needs amongst peers working on similar goals.
