In the Mini and Mighty Movers programs, children practice walking and running over various surfaces, climbing, jumping, and navigating equipment in a supportive, play‑based environment.
Children build confidence and independence while strengthening motor skills needed for everyday activities. The open‑room setting encourages interaction with peers without overwhelming young toddlers or preschoolers.
Caregivers also receive instruction on how to support gross motor and sensory play at home to maximize therapeutic benefits.
Children with physical or sensory impairments who are walking independently and need to work on advanced gross motor skills may participate. This program is run by physical therapists and will require a PT evaluation if the child is not a current PT client at Easterseals.
