Overview
Through the use of sensory, developmental, and trust-based feeding approaches, we can work with families to help their child work on a variety of feeding issues that may be impeding his/her ability to expand their diet repertoire.
Who Should Participate?
Children between the ages of 2 through 14 years may benefit if:
- Your child has a history of difficulties around feeding and nutrition
- You see signs that sensory issues are interfering with feeding skills.
- You see that your child has emotional responses to unfamiliar foods.
- You have concerns they are not meeting their nutritional needs with how they currently are eating and drinking.
- Your child has had challenges with growth over time.
- You find yourself having to make accommodations different from the family to try and meet your child's nutritional needs.
The child must be medically safe for oral feedings. An initial evaluation will determine the appropriateness of your child’s participation in this program. If it is determined this program is not appropriate to meet your child’s needs, alternative recommendations will be provided.
Program Objectives
To Improve:
- Positive experiences with feeding

- Tolerance to foods and textures offered
- Variety and volume of food intake
