Positioning & Mobility Clinic

The Positioning and Mobility Clinic provides a team approach to the evaluation, delivery, and follow-up of wheelchairs (manual and power), adaptive car seats, adapted chairs and adaptive bath equipment.

Overview

The equipment chosen is designed to meet the needs of the individual and his or her family.

A typical visit consists of the following: a thorough consultation and evaluation with the client and team members to identify positioning/mobility needs, recommendations and assistance in the integration of other assistive technology, interaction with the referral source, school personnel, primary therapists, physicians, and others to assure quality of care. Individuals benefit from this service if they require specialized mobility and positioning and seating solutions to enable them to be as functional and independent as possible.

Our partners involved with this clinic include Numotion and National Seating & Mobility.

If you would like to make an appointment, contact Michele Tabachka at mtabachka@eastersealsdfvr.org or call 630.282.2023. Clinic meets bi-monthly at our Villa Park center and can also be done over tele-therapy.
