Orthotic Clinic

Orthotic Clinic is a service provided to enrolled clients of Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley. It is structured as a team consultation with input from an orthotist, an experienced physical therapist, and the client's family. Bracing needs are addressed, including those for the trunk, legs, and arms.

Who should participate?

Enrolled clients of Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley who have orthotic concerns. 

What will a typical session be like? 

The therapist usually starts with an interview of the parent(s) and videotaping of the client. The therapist will then examine the client's range of motion, strength, gait, etc. and offer an opinion. The orthotist will also offer his expert opinion regarding the need for and the type of orthotics for the client and provide casting if needed.
