Make the First Five Count
As part of our efforts to ensure the best possible start to your child’s educational journey, we invite you to take the Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQ-3) and the Ages and Stages Questionnaires: Social-Emotional (ASQ-SE2).
This screening tool is widely used in Christian Schools, Early Childhood Centers, and by Pediatricians to measure and keep track of your child’s growth and development.
Overview
Are you curious about how your child is doing? Do you have concerns about your child’s development? Then take one or both of our free screenings.
All information collected will remain confidential and will be used solely to ensure the best support for your child. If any developmental concerns are identified, we will collaborate with you and Easterseals to determine the most appropriate next steps, which may include additional assessments or connections to other services.
Our Programs
Based on your responses, the results will help you see if your child’s progress is on track and alert you to any potential concerns.
By detecting developmental delays early, you have the power to change lives and educational outcomes for children! If delays are identified, Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley can offer the support needed to be school-ready and build a foundation for a lifetime of learning. Research proves that when children receive the right treatment and therapy they need before age five, they are more prepared to learn alongside their peers, build lifelong skills and achieve their dreams.
Re-screening
We also encourage you to rescreen your child in order to monitor and celebrate their development.
The ASQ-3 (developmental screening tool) may be taken every 2-, 4- or 6- month period.
The ASQ SE-2 (social-emotional screening tool) may be taken every 6 months until your child is 3 years old, and then once a year at 4 years and 5 years.
Easterseals is here to be your partner in raising a healthy and happy child.
